Very light weather prevailed over the week-end at
Lake Laguna for the 2008 South Qld. 10R Championships with light “airs” coming
mainly from the north – with many shifts to contend with throughout to 2 day
period.
As can be seen from the results, Mark Patterson
“blitzed” the fleet of 9 boats\skippers with 46 points from 31 races, followed
by Kevin Skues and Mike Austin.
The Goldcoast Radio Yacht Club would like to thank
David Black for his prowess on the computer with scoring, and to the OOD, the
formidable Mr. Richard Harradine, who did a “sterling” job at keeping everyone
honest and “on their toes” - so to speak.
We also thank JJ Scerri for his skills as chef for
the 2 days and to those who assisted with rescue missions and spotting.
Overall, it was a top week-end for us all.
