It may have taken an
hour for the breeze to kick in enough to race but when it did arrive from
the north east it provided enough shifts to ensure passing lanes were
available for those who possessed more cunning than boat speed.
An excellent fleet of 9
boats started including visitor Lindsay Walker from Ballina. It was great
to have Jon Wilson from North Lakes join us for a couple of races.
The racing was very
close with Brad Johnston usually at the head of the field. However Alan
Walker and Lindsay Walker were always in the hunt waiting to pounce.
Lindsay’s MOJO proved to be very quick off the breeze in the puffs. Jabin
was suffering from jetlag having just returned from the Victorian State
Titles so dropped out of a few places which pushed him down the placing’s.
All in all a great
afternoons racing conducted in excellent spirit by all competitors.
