NEW SOUTH WALES RADIO YACHTING ASSOCIATION (Inc)

 

 

1. EVENT SCHEDULE

Saturday the 7th June and Sunday the 8th June, 2008

Saturday:  Tyson Trophy, Registration 09.15am, Briefing 9.30am, and Racing from 10.00am – 4pm

Sunday: Bob Shedden Memorial Trophy (Round 3 of the CCRYC Interclub Shield) Racing from 10am to 3.30pm then prize presentation.

 

2. VENUE

Central Coast Radio Yacht Club Home Waters, Terrigal Lagoon, Lake View Drive Terrigal NSW (See Map on 2nd page)

 

3. ORGANISING AUTHORITY

The Championships are organized under the overall authority of the Australian Radio Yachting Association

(Incorporated) (ARYA) and the New South Wales Radio Yachting Association (Incorporated), and conducted by the Central Coast Radio Yacht Club inc and its duly appointed Race Committee.

 

4. RULES

The regatta will be governed by The ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing for 2004-2008 (RRS) as changed by

Appendix E of the RRS - Radio Controlled Boat Racing Rules, this Notice of Race (NoR), the Sailing

Instructions (SI), International Class Administration Rules, the Equipment Rules of Sailing (ERS) and the respective Class Rules. The Sailing Instructions shall prevail in the event of conflict with this Notice of Race. The AYF prescription to RRS 46 does not apply.

 

5. ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open to financial members of ARYA (Inc) affiliated clubs and to members of a recognized

Division Member of the International Sailing Federation-Radio Sailing Division. All yachts must have a

current registration certificate for the class entered.

 

6. REGISTRATION

Boats, together with their current registration certificate, must be presented for registration and check measurement by 0915 hours on the first day of competition for that class. No boat will be eligible to race

until it has completed this process.

 

7. EVENT CATEGORY AND ADVERTISING

The Championships are classified under the ISAF Advertising Code Regulation 20.3.1 (b) as Category C.

The Organisers reserve the right to advertising according to Regulation 20.3

 

8. SCORING AND RACING SYSTEM

The current Heat Management System (HMS2002) as approved by the ISAF-RSD will be used.

 

9. MEASUREMENT

The Race Committee may direct that all boats entered in the event be check-measured or alternatively randomly select a number of boats for check measurement. All will be weighed.

Random spot checks may be conducted throughout the duration of the event.

 

10. FREQUENCIES

Each competitor is required to nominate a minimum of three (3) frequencies with their entry. The listing of

additional frequencies if available would be helpful. Permitted frequency bands are 27, 29, 36 and 40Mhz.

 

11. PROTESTS

A Committee will be appointed to hear any protests arising from the event and may comprise competitors

not involved in the incident. RRS 61.2 and 62.2 may be replaced by a verbal notification and hearing if all

parties affected by the incident agree.

Entries will not be accepted from members who are un-financial at the close of entries.

The entry fee of $10.00 must accompany the entry form. Cheques should be made payable to the Central Coast Radio Yacht Club (Inc) and marked “Not Negotiable”. Please do not send cash. Application forms and cash will be accepted on the day.

Coffee & Tea will be available all day

Entries close on 5th of June, 2008.

Late entries may be accepted until the 7th June, 2008 and there may be an additional fee.

 

13. PRIZES AND TROPHIES

A minimum of three prizes or trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3 rd places along with the perpetual trophies.

 

14. LIABILITY

All those entering or taking part in these Championships do so at their own risk and responsibility. The

Australian Radio Yachting Association (Incorporated), the New South Wales Radio Yachting Association

(Inc), the Central Coast Radio Yacht and any other parties involved in the organisation of this event disclaim:

Any and every responsibility whatsoever for loss, damage, injury or inconvenience that might occur to persons and goods, both ashore and on the water as a consequence of entering or participating in the

Championship covered by this Notice of Race.

At all times the responsibility for the safety of their boat and themselves plus the decision to participate or continue must rest with the competitors.

By entering the event it is deemed that you accept these conditions.
