2. VENUE
Kogarah Bay Sailing Club. Dover Park (East) Princes
Highway, Blakehurst.
3. ORGANISING AUTHORITY
The Championships are organised under the overall
authority of the Australian Radio Yachting Association (Incorporated) (ARYA)
and conducted by The Kogarah Bay Radio Yacht Club for the NSW Radio Yachting
Association and it’s duly appointed Race Committee.
4. RULES
The regatta will be governed by The ISAF Racing Rules of
Sailing for 2005-2008 (RRS) as changed by Appendix E of the RRS - Radio
Controlled Boat Racing Rules, this Notice of Race (NoR), the Sailing
Instructions (SI), International Class Administration Rules, the Equipment
Rules of Sailing (ERS) and the respective International Class
Rules. The Sailing Instructions shall prevail in the event of conflict
with this Notice of Race.
5. ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to financial members of ARYA
(Inc) affiliated clubs and to members of a recognized Division Member of the
International Sailing Federation-Radio Sailing Division. All yachts must
have a current registration certificate for the boat entered.
6. REGISTRATION
Boats, together with their current registration
certificate, must be presented for registration and check-measurement by
9.00 am on the first day of competition. No boat will be eligible to race
until it has completed this process.
7. EVENT CATEGORY AND ADVERTISING
The Championships are classified under the ISAF
Advertising Code Regulation 20.3.1 (b) as Category C.
The Organisers reserve the right to advertising according
to Regulation 20.3
8. SCORING AND RACING SYSTEM
The current Heat Management System (HMS) as approved by
the ISAF-RSD will be used. Where there are less than 16 competitors, the
event will be sailed in one fleet.
9. MEASUREMENT
The Race Committee may direct that all boats entered in
the event be check-measured or alternatively randomly select a number of
boats for check measurement. Random spot checks may be conducted throughout
the duration of the event.
10. FREQUENCIES
Each competitor is required to nominate a minimum of
three (3) frequencies with their entry. The
listing of additional frequencies if available would be helpful.
Permitted frequency bands are 27, 29, 36, 40 MHz, and 2.4 GHz.
11. PROTESTS
A Committee will be appointed to hear any protests
arising from the event and may comprise competitors not involved in the
incident. RRS 61.2 and 62.2 may be replaced by a verbal notification and
hearing if all parties affected by the incident agree.
The ISAF-RSD System for the Reduction of Protest Hearings
(SYRPH) (Jan 1999) will apply to all protests.

Entries will not be accepted
from members who are un-financial at the close of entries.
The entry fee of $10.00 must be paid at the time of
registration and measurement on the first day of competition.
Tea & Coffee will be available. Refreshments will be
available for purchase in the clubhouse at the completion of the days
sailing.
ENTRIES CLOSE on 15th September 2008
Late entries may be accepted on the day before racing
commences provided there is no frequency clash with those already entered.
13. PRIZES AND TROPHIES
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd
and 3rd
14. LIABILITY
All those entering or taking part in these Championships
do so at their own risk and responsibility. The Australian Radio Yachting
Association (Incorporated), NSW Radio Yachting Association (Incorporated),
Kogarah Bay Sailing Club (incorporated) and the Kogarah Bay Radio Yacht Club
and any other parties involved in the organisation of this event disclaim:
Any and every responsibility whatsoever for loss, damage,
injury or inconvenience that might occur to persons and goods, both ashore
and on the water as a consequence of entering or participating in the
Championship covered by this Notice of Race.
At all times the responsibility
for the safety of their boat and themselves and the decision to participate
or continue must rest with the competitors.

deemed that you accept these conditions.
