A History
This book has been steadily selling since 2002. It is said to be the
only authoritative book on Balmain Bugs, the general history of where it
started, how they were raced, who raced them. The book shows the fabric
of the life and times of the Sydney’s Model Racing Skiffs both pond and
open water varieties from 1900 to 1954.
The Second book...
A History
This book continues on where the first book finishes. It tells the story
of the Model Racing Skiffs of the kind that didn’t fit in with the main
types, like the racing 18inchers.
The book goes on to tell the history about some of the early model
yachts that were in Australia from the 1800s to 1970s.
This is ideal for any collectors OR people who collect antiques, who
want to know something about early pond boats in Australia. There are
some plans with some of these model classes.
Both books are ideal for people interested in this fascinating past
time.
