thrilled to announce our

received the 'Lucy Marshall Award' at the 2005 NZSG AGM -
The Lucy Marshall Award is presented annually.
This award is for a previously unpublished article
of a "how to" nature written by a member and
published in the NZSG magazine.

WELCOME:
Colleen
PETRICEVICH, Convenor, took the chair and welcomed
all those attending the meeting.
APOLOGIES:

CONVENOR’S REPORT:
Due to
being extremely busy with the organizing and running
of the 2003 National Conference, Colleen has been
unable to write up a full report for the group’s
AGM. She wishes to acknowledge Bruce MATHERS for
his work on the Te Reo website. Thanks to both
Bruce MATHERS and Harete PHILLIPS on the editing of
the Te Reo magazine.

FINANCIAL REPORT:
See
Copy Attached [centre pages of the newsletter BM]. Brenda JOYCE explained that the group
has registered as a
non-profit organization and therefore does not have
to pay RWT. Income from subscriptions is balanced
by the costs
of
producing the newsletter. Donations received are
used to purchase resources for our group.

NOTES:
1.
This report covers two years as there was no MIG AGM
held in 2002.
2. It
covers the transition period from members paying a
subscription and MIG financing the news letter to
no subs being levied and Te Reo being financed by
sponsorship.
3.
MIG members do not pay a subscription. Institutions
pay $15.00 pa.
4.
Books and other resources requested by MIG members
can be purchased by the FRC purchasing committee and
placed in the FRC library for members to borrow.
In
future income will drop significantly. At the same
time there will be very few expenses.

donation be made to the Family Research Centre for
purchases of Maori interest resources.

stationary and Te Reo magazine.
4. Non-Borrowable
books from the Family Research Centre: Lorraine RICE
will do a look-up for you if you supply a catalogue

conferences.
