CONVENOR’S REPORT:

Due to being extremely busy with the organizing and running of the 2003 National Conference, Colleen has been unable to write up a full report for the group’s AGM.  She wishes to acknowledge Bruce MATHERS for his work on the Te Reo website.  Thanks to both Bruce MATHERS and Harete PHILLIPS on the editing of the Te Reo magazine.

Moved:  Colleen PETRICEVICH

FINANCIAL REPORT:

See Copy Attached [centre pages of the newsletter BM].  Brenda JOYCE explained that the group has registered as a

non-profit organization and therefore does not have to pay RWT.  Income from subscriptions is balanced by the costs

of producing the newsletter.  Donations received are used to purchase resources for our group.

Moved:  Brenda JOYCE

Seconded:  Lorraine RICE

Carried.

NOTES:

1.   This report covers two years as there was no MIG AGM held in 2002.

2.   It covers the transition period from members paying a subscription and MIG financing the news  letter to no subs being levied and Te Reo being financed by sponsorship.

3.   MIG members do not pay a subscription.  Institutions pay $15.00 pa.

4.   Books and other resources requested by MIG members can be purchased by the FRC purchasing committee and placed in the FRC library for members to borrow.
