3. ORGANISING AUTHORITY
The event is organised under the overall
authority of the Australian Radio Yachting
Association Incorporated (ARYA) and the
Queensland Radio Yachting Association Inc (QRYA)
and conducted by the Moreton Radio Yacht
Squadron Inc (MRYS Inc) and it's duly
appointed Race Committee.
4. RULES
The regatta will be governed by The ISAF
Racing Rules of Sailing for 2009-2012 (RRS)
as changed by Appendix E of the RRS - Radio
Controlled Boat Racing Rules, this Notice of
Race (NoR), the Sailing Instructions (SI),
the Equipment Rules of Sailing (ERS) and the
respective IOM Class Rules. The Sailing
Instructions shall prevail in the event of
conflict with this Notice of Race.
5. ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to financial members
of ARYA (Inc) affiliated clubs and to
members of a recognised Division Member of
the International Sailing Federation-Radio
Sailing Division. All yachts must have a
current registration certificate issued by
their National Authority
6. REGISTRATION
Boats, together with their current
registration certificate, must be presented
for registration and check-measurement by
0830 on the 26th April 2009. No boat will
be eligible to race until it has completed
this process.
7. EVENT CATEGORY AND ADVERTISING
The event is classified under the ISAF
Advertising Code Regulation 20.3.1 (b) as
Category C. The Organisers reserve the right
to advertising according to Regulation 20.3
8. SCORING AND RACING SYSTEM
The current Heat Management System (HMS) as
approved by the ISAF-RSD will be used. In
general where there are less than 16
competitors, the event will be sailed in one
fleet. Because this is a one day event
entries will be limited to a maximum of 36
(2 heats)
9. MEASUREMENT
All boats entered will be inspected. The
Race Committee may randomly select a number
of boats for check measurement.
10. FREQUENCIES
Each competitor is required to nominate a
minimum of three (3) frequencies with their
entry. The listing of additional frequencies
if available would be helpful. Permitted
frequency bands are 27, 29, 36, 40 Mhz and
2.4 Ghz.
11. PROTESTS
A Committee will be appointed to hear any
protests arising from the event and may
comprise competitors not involved in the
incident. RRS 61.2 and 62.2 may be replaced
by a verbal notification and hearing if all
parties affected by the incident agree.

Entries will not be accepted from members
who are un-financial at the close of
entries.
The entry fee of $ 20.00 must accompany the
entry form to secure your frequency. Cheques
are to be made payable to Moreton Radio
Yacht Squadron Inc and marked “Not
Negotiable”. Please do not send cash.
A light lunch will be provided for all
competitors and officials on each race day.

Late entries may with the agreement of the
race committee be accepted until 26th April
2009 on payment of an additional fee of
$10.00
13. PRIZES AND TROPHIES
Trophies and prizes will be awarded to 1st,
2nd and 3rd placings.
14. LIABILITY
The venue is a wet launch across a sloping
gravel surface. Suitable footwear should be
worn
All those entering or taking part in this
event do so at their own risk and
responsibility. The Australian Radio
Yachting Association (Incorporated), the
Queensland Radio Yachting Association Inc (QRYA), the
Moreton Radio Yacht Squadron Inc and any
other parties involved in the organization
of this event disclaim:
Any and every responsibility whatsoever for
loss, damage, injury or inconvenience that
might occur to persons and goods, both
ashore and on the water as a consequence of
entering or participating in the Event
covered by this Notice of Race.
At all times the responsibility for the
safety of their boat and themselves plus the
decision to participate or continue must
rest with the competitors.
By entering the event it is deemed that you
accept these conditions.
