2. VENUE
Racing will be conducted at Curralea Lake, off Woolcock St, Townsville.
(Behind Mecure Inn and The Lakes Caravan Park)
3. ACCOMODATION
The Townsville Model Marine Club would like to advise all competitors travelling to the event that the weekend of the 5th and 6th of April coincides with a North Queensland Cowboys home game and as such accommodation within the Townsville areas will fill up quickly as a result.
4. ORGANISING AUTHORITY
The Championship is organised under the overall authority of the Australian Radio Yachting Association (Incorporated) (ARYA) and conducted by the Queensland Radio Yachting Association, Inc and The Townsville Model Marine Club, Inc and it’s duly appointed Race Committee.
5. RULES
The regatta will be governed by The ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing for 2005-2008 (RRS) as changed by Appendix E of the RRS - Radio Controlled Boat Racing Rules, this Notice of Race (NoR), the Sailing Instructions (SI), International Class Administration Rules, the Equipment Rules of Sailing (ERS) and the respective International Class Rules. The Sailing Instructions shall prevail in the event of conflict with this Notice of Race.
6. ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to financial members of ARYA (Inc) affiliated clubs and to members of a recognized Division Member of the International Sailing Federation-Radio Sailing Division. All yachts must have a current registration certificate for the class entered.
7. REGISTRATION
Boats, together with their current registration certificate, must be presented for registration and check-measurement by 1330pm on the first day of competition for that class.
8. EVENT CATEGORY AND ADVERTISING
The Championships are classified under the ISAF Advertising Code Regulation 20.3.1 (b) as Category C.
The Organisers reserve the right to advertising according to Regulation 20.3
9. SCORING AND RACING SYSTEM
The current Heat Management System (HMS) as approved by the ISAF-RSD will be used. Where there are less than 18 competitors, the event will be sailed in one fleet.
10. MEASUREMENT
The Race Committee may direct that all boats entered in the event be check-measured or alternatively randomly select a number of boats for check measurement. All boats in the International One Metre Championship will be weighed.
Random spot checks may be conducted throughout the duration of the event.
11. FREQUENCIES
Each competitor is required to nominate a minimum of three (3) frequencies with their entry. The listing of additional frequencies if available would be helpful. Permitted frequency bands are 27, 29, 36, 40Mhz and 2.4Ghz. There will be no shared Frequencies.
12. PROTESTS
A Committee will be appointed to hear any protests arising from the event and may comprise competitors not involved in the incident. RRS 61.2 and 62.2 may be replaced by a verbal notification and hearing if all parties affected by the incident agree.
The ISAF-RSD System for the Reduction of Protest Hearings (SYRPH) (Jan 1999) will apply to all protests.

Entries will not be accepted from members who are un-financial at the close of entries.
The entry fee of $20.00 must accompany the entry form, or be paid on the morning of registration. Cheques made payable to Townsville Model Marine Club, Inc and marked “Not Negotiable”. Please do not send cash.

15. LIABILITY
All those entering or taking part in these Championships do so at their own risk and responsibility. The Australian Radio Yachting Association (Incorporated), the Queensland Radio Yachting Association, Inc and The Townsville Model Marine Club, Inc and any other parties involved in the organisation of this event disclaim:
Any and every responsibility whatsoever for loss, damage, injury or inconvenience that might occur to persons and goods, both ashore and on the water as a consequence of entering or participating in the Championship covered by this Notice of Race.
At all times the responsibility for the safety of their boat and themselves plus the decision to
Participate or continue must rest with the competitors.
